Grammar test

II. 1. Singular or plural? [Write ‘OK’ when the form of the word is already correct!]
A computer store will soon open in our neighbourhood. This (be) good news. So far we have always had to travel 15 miles to the nearest computer store. 15 miles to the store and 15 miles back again means driving 30 miles, which (be) a bit much, of course. So we have always done some shopping as well. Last time I got two different jeans-style trousers from Marks & Spencer. Then we bought something from IKEA, but two furniture were too big for the car. So we had to hire a trailer, but they did not have one, which shows that you cannot always trust the information you are given in sales brochures. After all we paid over five hundred pounds, which a lot of money. When I wanted to wash my new jeans I had to ask my mother. “Give a cold wash!”, she said, which was a valuable advice.
